Intensity

I briefly wrote of this large painting several years ago. I am sharing it again because the intensity of its weight is heavy and the meaning has changed. My son in law Joe Musten whom I love with all my heart recorded a song with Holy Name which inspired this image.

Since then, I created a cover for a book “The Angel Book” by Dr David Spencer. I have come to know more about angels and demons. I simply need to know what I am up against when I throw myself at the alter of God asking Him for guidance in battle. I want my sword targeted at an enemy I am aware of. Jesus is love and I as a believer live by that. However, if He is love, who is His counterpart.

Enduring many recent family struggles which I won’t share because they are not mine to share, I have come to a great awareness that if we are going to battle the enemy of God, we must know who that enemy is, what form he manifests in, and how to stand up against him and his attacks on my family. Don’t mess with my family. As a widow ( going on 3 years) I have eagerly stepped into being the senior prayer warrior for my children and grandchildren. It is a position I never thought I could take such bold charge over. But I dont stand alone. My commander in Chief whose name is Holy stands aside me. He leads me.

We must be aware of enemy tactics and who and what it uses to bring us down. If the love of God is so intense, authentic and truthful then how much contradiction does the opposite force need to come at us with? I learned to discern between authentic and counterfeit. I thank Dr David Spencer for his book, his teaching , my own digging in scripture, Retired IDF Amir Tsarfati, Dr. Phil Johnson of Globel Next, and Bishop Paul Lanier for putting questions in my heart concerning spiritual growth. The strength of my faith is number one to me,

The spirit of shame, failure, defeat, unworthiness and fear are at work every moment to crash us into that wall of “I cant do this”. These evil efforts are meant to crash us down and turn us against the very God who lives in us in spirit.

This piece of art tackles every inch of my weakness and puts Christ at the center of VICTORY.
